When using a Windows based computer on the network it is often necessary to create "Drive Mappings". Drive mappings are seen by your computer as virtual local drives. The network system tells your computer what local drive assignments to MAP to what network resources.

The following are Drive Mappings used at SCC:

"H:" Home Directory

This directory is a personal area for file storage. It is only accessible by the individual account.

"I:" Installs Directory

This directory is not commonly accessed by individuals. This directory holds application installations. Most applications that reside for client installation will be delivered via NAL

"W:" Workgroup Directories

Workgroup directories are shared areas that support different departments and projects on campus. You may have assignments to many of the directories. Access rights are determined via request. you may have read/write access to some areas wile only have read access to others.
