Novell's Application Launcher and
Application Explorer *Informational content from Novell Documentation* "The Application Explorer and the Application Launcher, components of ZENworks* from Novell, Inc., are part of a software delivery process that lets your administrator distribute and centrally manage the applications that you see at your workstation." Application Explorer works on Windows operating systems only. "Application Explorer may displays application icons in a special Application Explorer window, Windows Explorer and on the Start menu, System Tray, and Desktop. You can create personal folders for the applications that have been assigned to you, and drag application icons from Application Explorer window to the Desktop. By using applications through the Application Explorer or Launcher, you can expect faster resolution to problems that you might encounter while using the applications. For example, if drives or ports are not correct, or if your software needs to be upgraded, administrators can address the problem far quicker through Application Explorer or Launcher than if they had to come and personally visit your workstation." Your administrator will notify you of application upgrades. |
